 Understanding your Supremo Aluminium Furniture

 Supremo aluminium garden furniture is durable and long-lasting. Aluminium is one of the best materials for outdoor furniture due to its timeless, minimalist appeal. It is hard-wearing and requires minimal care and maintenance.

 Aside from looking aesthetically pleasing, aluminium is strong, highly practical. Our all-weather aluminium furniture is rust-free, and the powder-coated finish is UV-resistant, meaning it won’t fade in the sun. Supremo aluminium frames and tables can be left outside all year round as they are rust-free. For added protection against dirt and debris, Supremo recommends covering your furniture frames with one of Supremo’s breathable, water-resistant outdoor covers.

 Supremo cushion covers are season-safe; the unique material used to cover the internal filling is water and stain-resistant. Although not waterproof, Supremo’s season-safe cushions can be left outside in summer showers.  If the internal filling becomes wet, the covers have a breathable vent for quicker drying.

 IMPORTANT: You must store loose cushions away during continued periods of inclement weather. Storing them away when not in use is advisable. DO NOT leave loose cushions underneath a furniture cover.

Tabletops

• To avoid watermarks appearing, use coasters and clean up spillages immediately with an absorbent sponge or cloth.
• Care must be taken not to scratch the top layer on the tabletop. Protective mats are recommended for use with tableware.
• Avoid placing objects on the tables for an extended period that may directly or indirectly cause stains, such as ashtrays, pots, vases, and mats.
• Do not place hot objects directly on the tables. Use coasters and table mats to prevent damage.
• Where applicable, Supremo uses toughened, tempered safety glass. When this type of glass breaks, it breaks into small pieces rather than large shards that could cause harm.

Cushions

• Do not expose your Supremo cushions to consistent inclement weather conditions. Store away as advised.
• To avoid harming the water-resistant lining, do not machine wash.
• Remove spillages immediately with an absorbent sponge or cloth.
• Dark cushions are more likely to fade in constant direct sunlight, it is advised to store them when not in use.
• If the internal filling becomes wet, it is advised to remove the cushion cover and allow to dry in a warm, covered area for at least 48 hours before use.
• Do not store cushions under furniture covers.

 How to Clean Aluminium Garden Furniture.

Regular cleaning is essential as it reduces the chances of infestation or damage to the furniture. Not cleaning it properly can harbour mould and bacteria growth, both of which can lessen the furniture's life span and cause issues with the framework.

Here are some basic cleaning steps for your Supremo Outdoor Aluminium Furniture

1. Use a soft, non-abrasive sponge or cloth to clean off any dust or debris (food particles) you might find on the furniture.
2. Remove stubborn surface dirt using soapy water and rinse with a hose and a non-abrasive sponge.
3. NEVER use a pressure washer to clean your furniture, as this could damage your furniture.
4. After washing the furniture, dry it in a well-ventilated area.
5. Do not use a stiff brush or abrasive cleaning applicators to clean the table after use. Clean using a soft cloth or a clean synthetic sponge.
6. To clean tabletops, use a pH-neutral cleaner and a soft cloth or sponge. It’s best to avoid abrasive sponges or scouring pads, as they may scratch the surface.
7. Avoid using harsh chemicals like bleach or ammonia on all materials.
8. Cushion covers are to be hand-washed only and are zipped for easy removal. Any spillages should be removed with a damp cloth. Please refer to the care label for instructions.
9. To keep your cushions looking pristine, we recommend storing them away when not in use.
10. NEVER machine wash or tumble dry the covers.
11. Storing cushions away when not in use is essential.
12. Although not essential, Supremo advises storing the frames during winter. We have a range of Supremo covers that can be used specifically designed to keep the elements away and allow air to circulate through a Supremo breathable vent system, suitable for the hardware. Cushions are not to be stored under cover.
13. In coastal environments with a high concentration of abrasive salt in the atmosphere, the frames and exposed metal should be washed down with fresh water monthly and cover when not in use to reduce the corrosion rate.
