Supremo pergola range is designed to stay outdoors all year round, so we ensure your pergola requires minimal maintenance.
However, we have some tips to keep your pergolas in perfect condition when not in use and during the out-of-season months.
Tips:
- Water will leak from the top if the rainfall exceeds the drainage flow rate and exceeds the capacity of the top drainage channel.
- We recommend opening the roof louvres to prevent excessive snow accumulating during the winter. The weight of the snow should not exceed 30KG per square meter. If left, the snow can cause damage to the roof, as the lightweight aluminium can bend. This bending can stop the louvres from closing correctly and potentially lead to leakage during rainy days.
- If the louvres become frozen, do not forcefully open them. Wait for them to defrost before rotating the louvres. Forcefully rotating them may cause damage to the mechanisms and render them unusable.
- Retract the curtain roller shutter into the raised position if the wind exceeds 25m/s or over.
- We recommend that the top louvres are regularly cleaned throughout the year to prevent clogging in the guttering caused by debris. Clogging can cause leaking.
- Water in the guttering can become frozen and may take some time to defrost. If rain occurs during the melting process, leaking can occur.
- If the bottom of the legs becomes obstructed by frozen water or snow, please note that rapid melting without clearing the obstruction can cause leaking over the guttering.
- The protective film should be removed once assembled. This is easier to remove when warm.
